Because it's meant to support the standard weapons and items that the game provides. It doesn't account for custom melee weapons, which includes the knife. Someone could rewrite this to dynamically support any weapon in the game though.

But the knife is always been part of it, unless you mean as in because it's censored, I could understand. However the CS:S weapons are supported which kinda leaves me scratching my head. Hell even the riotshield!

Yes, since it was censored and couldn't really be obtained through natural means, it was considered a "custom melee weapon." It seems MasterMind didn't add support for custom melee weapons except for the riotshield for some reason. Anyway here's an edited version with the knife supported.

I never added support for the knife because i was not going to unlock it from this plugin...Silvers knife plugin already does that and corrects that problem in this plugin which i've already said on here before. And yes the knife and riotshield are supported in this plugin but have to be unlocked by other means, they always have been since panxious original version.

You've got to be using another plugin or something that is interfering with the saving...that has never been an issue. If others post that it is i may be tempted to look at the code, otherwise im done with the plugin...someone else can deal with it...Dragokas has a fork of the original for L4D1...who knows when he'll add support for L4D2 but thats your option for now.
