The attached zip below contains re-compiled bins for Win/Linux. I tested that they loaded.

Yep can confirm on my Windows servers as fast a player connects it hangs. Using 1.6 stable branch.

What plugins do you have? I had problem with this extension because one plugin was programmed "wrong". As example the connect announce plugin and the splewis retake mod chrashes the server when player joins team.
