Could you have the notices sent to IRC and admins in-game include SteamID and IP in addition to the name? This would be very helpful.

The temporary ban is to prevent players from reconnect spamming the server and lasts for 5 minutes.

To everyone that has been patiently waiting my reply over the past couple of weeks:

I'm in the process of getting a bug tracker going for SMAC. Between the forum posts, private messages (on here, IRC, Steam), and code snippets thrown around, I am starting to lose track of things. I'll update here again when that's online.

Hi.
Can the SMAC block or disable the lastinv command on the server somehow?
I see on servers many loser use this to change weapon fastly, without reload that weapons.
Like: shot with a sniper (scout), then fastly press q twice (lastinv) and voila.
I hope i was understandable. Sorry but my English is a big 0.
Game: CSS

There is a reason players do this and it should not be blocked.

ya, the lastinv (q key by default for CS:S) is a HIGHLY used key. Valve has fixed the exploit that would shave off a second+ when using AWP, but still, that key is used a lot and shouldn't be blocked.

now, if you're saying the player is using lastinv and then going back to their original weapon which had its ammo depleted but is now fully loaded, that's a different issue altogether.

I know this may not be possible atm, but i would like to make following suggestions for the future.
I also know that this possibly should go in the bugtracker, but i prefer to post here, i hope that's okay.

  • ConVar Checker
    • smac_cvars_list
      • Lists your added cvars
  • Command Monitor
    • smac_cmds_list
      • Lists your added commands

Yours sincerely
Impact

A few problems come to mind: Added cmds/cvars are bunched together with the built-in list, and that data is stored in a trie (can't be iterated back for printing lists). It would take some restructuring, so this would definitely be a low priority.

Nothing wrong with posting it here, but once another page of posts fly in then it might be forgotten.

Idea.
Can the SMAC team do and the SMAC can use a simple global banlist, in the future? Like the KAC do.
If someone get ban by SMAC on one server, he get ban from all SMAC protected servers, where the configurator set up this thing.
Simple = without webinterface.

If it was simple all bans would already be shared. It's not, the problem is trust.
