SRCDS and your Steam instance are individual instances of the game -- they are not connected. So the short answer is: unless Valve are doing it horribly wrong (See MW2, though that wasn't Valve), no. (And my experience dictates that the answer is 'no'.)

The problem, after installing this plugin on the server tf2 players ghosts appeared, and after changing the map they appear again, maybe it's another bug valve?
SM and MM is the latest version.

It's perfectly safe, nothing running on a server you connect to can get you VAC banned.

Many people are having the same issue, and Valve confirmed on the mailing list that it's their problem. Your issue has nothing to do with SteamTools.

Can this (or be modified to) get a list of members of a group? I want to merge this with the immunity plugin so I want to keep a list of all the members' id's and when someone connects, verify they are a member. This is with the 0 reserve slot addon, so I cannot wait for the query to return when checking if a member is part of the group and I need to cache it. (I believe)

Not entirely. I run the server AND the client on the SAME computer, so VAC (running with the client) can scan the memory dump of the SERVER DLLs.

It could, but it doesn't. VAC does not care what is running in the server process.
You asked a question, you got an answer. If you weren't going to listen to the answer why did you bother asking?

Version 0.7.2 released.
  • const-qualified all the String parameters that aren't changed.
  • Added CustomSteamID support to Subscription and DLC functions. This can only be used with the Connect extension and the SteamID passed in the OnClientPreConnect forward.
