It sounds like you aren't extracting the files. The .gz extension is a compressed file. Use WinRar or 7zip to extract it.

I reinstalled everything and got the same error message. When I deleted my geoip.ext.dll from the extension directory then I got this message:

Code:
L 07/15/2010 - 18:10:03: SourceMod error session started
L 07/15/2010 - 18:10:03: Info (map "de_dust2") (file "errors_20100715.log")
L 07/15/2010 - 18:10:03: [SM] Unable to load extension "geoip.ext": The specified module could not be found.
Btw, I am using WinRar.

Do you have msn? If so, then we can try "Remote Desktop Connection" and you can try to install it on my computer.

If you remove cannounce.smx from the plugin directory, does it the server load properly? And if it does, are the extensions loaded as well? I will see if it's an issue with the sample plugin.

Yes, without installing cannounce.smx, everything works. My server starts without crashing. I forgot what to write in console to find out if the extensions are loaded. Do you remember?

Try placing the attached cannounce.smx in your plugins directory.

If you are still getting issues, then delete my extension and try Arg!'s official connect announce with the default GeoIP. I need to make sure your GeoIP extension isn't causing the problems.

I don't use MSN, can you go on SourceMod's IRC channel?

No, it doesn't work.

Ok, give me the name of the server and channel, and I will be joining in a minute.
