Hi guys, after last night's two updates for TF2 (10 Jun 2010) we have noticed the plug-in on our server is not working properly anymore. We still can bring the menu up and select songs and the lyrics do appear as before and cycle through the lines, but no music plays though.

We haven't changed anything to the plug-in or files prior or after we updated the server, so I was wondering if you guys/girls knew what was going on.

since yesterday the iexplorer browser component was replaced by webkit. either it doesn't support the windows media player object or it doesn't like how it is being called by this plugin (<embed instead of <object)

The mod does not work on my server, although I followed all the instructions.

When I run a music, counts down to seven seconds and launches the music on my PC only. When the counting stops and starts the lyrics, I heard nothing. And when I try to change the volume, the music resumes at the beginning.

The /vol changes nothing.
That makes 3 times I try to install it, with a different website for the play.php and the mp3, but I still have the same matters.

My friends who are on the server do not hear from the music, but can see the lyrics.

I checked few times, but I followed the instructions and there's no mistakes.

I apologize for my deplorable English, but I'm French so be indulgent ^^

This plugin broke when TF2 got released on the MAC. I'm not saying it's the main reason. Just coincidence I think Valve changed the web browser from IE to some webkit or other (for MAC compatibility) which has broken the object embedment. That's why the songs don't play.

I've noticed that other links we use have stopped mumble:// has stopped working and so on.

I've been working on a fix for this, which uses flash instead of the old method. So far it works great. I just have a few things to iron out and I can give out some code.

We've found this plugin great for entertainment and the guys on the server have missed it dearly. So I stuck my nose in the code and found a solution via flash.

It's not perfect but we've got it working. There are times when it crsahes the clients game. The other main issues involve:

Can't use /vol during song. It restarts the song from the beginning due to lack of offset.
/kvote starts each song a players votes for.
