Hi Guys,

I just got back into the HLDS Server game again. I used to run a CS and HL Server a few years back, ok more than a few years.

I have the server up and running, I have AMXX on and Metamod running BUT I can't seem to get ANY of the plugins to work.
Timeleft, nextmap etc. etc. etc.
Also would like the headshot sounds etc.
Would like ALL the weapons when you join.
I have been playing on a HL Server called Gamers Global, it's in Florida and they really have it running sweet.

I am in Canada, just an FYI

Any help would be more than much appreciated.

What makes you think that the first half of that sentence is true given that the second half is true?

Also, you've provided no details for anyone to be able to help you. When you post a question like this, nobody should have to ask any the following questions (because you should have answered them in your original post):

• How did you download HLDS?
• Did you use SteamCMD?
• What game are you trying to run?
• What version of Metamod are you running?
• What version of AMX Mod X are you running?
• Did the server run successfully before you added anything (including MetaMod)?
• Did the server run successfully after adding MetaMod but before adding AMX Mod X?
• What is the server console's output of the following commands: "version", "meta version", "meta list", "amxx version", "amxx list".

When we ask for the output from commands, we expect the full, unedited output (put them in [code][/code] tags).

"I am running it from HLDS.exe" is not a valid answer to the question "Did you use SteamCMD?". SteamCMD is a tool to download the Standalone HLDS. I honestly wouldn't recommend running the HLDS via Steam, I'd recommend using SteamCMD to get the standalone HLDS. This keeps it all separate from all the Steam files and you can even run it simultaneously with an actual client on the same PC (for testing only).

One thing I would highly recommend is to use AMX Mod X 1.9.0 instead of 1.8.2 because 1.8.2 is quite old and there have been game updates since 1.8.2 that require it to be updated.

If after downloading the standalone HLDS via SteamCMD and installing AMX Mod X 1.9.0, and it still doesn't work, please provide the full, unedited output of the aforementioned commands (don't try to summarize them, provide the output as-is using copy/paste).

where did you get those addons from, followed the recommendations... personally I prefer rehlds

No, he should not use this. If you can't get a proper server up and running, you shouldn't be trying to do more complicated things.

I can't seem to get the ultimate sounds to work. What am I missing?
I got "The Hook" to work.

AMXX Version is now 1.9.0.5294

When I changed AMXX to version 1.90
I got a ton or runtime errors pointing to this Mod
It said add debug after the plugin but that still didn't solve errors
So I disabled this plugin and the server runs fine.
