Sorry I wasn't very specific--I installed the metamod 1.8+ dll linked to in the OP for windows l4d. So the one I am using is specific to left 4 dead already. It's a bit old though and I'm guessing valve broke it somewhere down the line.

Try this recompiled binary.
First binary compiled using l4d SDK, second compiled by using L4D2 sdk.
Don't forget to rename binary to
dosprotect_mm.dll
before installing.
I tested it on my Windows server - working.

Added .so files for Linux version of Server for collection.
Who will try before installing rename file to
dosprotect_mm.so

I will test this as soon as I get home too.

edit: appears to be working. responds to dosp_status, etc. don't have any ability to run a test attack unfortunately.

Dasister, logging is not enabled in the L4D2 linux version.
There appers to be no cvar to turn it on either.
