Hmm. Shouldn't be happening. The bots join after humans on map change. So if there are not enough slots at map change, then there will be less bots.
There's no code in there to kick human players.

Couple of issues/nuances I have noticed Dog...

1. When bots spawn in, they are the same ones every map change. For Germans it is always bots #3,5,7,9,11,13,15 and Americans are always #2,4,6,8,10,12,14. Is there any way that you can make it a random bot from the list?

2. When I set my server to start kicking bots when 1 human joins, it works, kind of. If I join Americans, it kicks a German bot and if I join German then it kicks an American bot. Shouldn't this be the opposite? Also, if you switch teams, it kicks another bot from the opposite team. They do not rejoin when I leave either.

Ok, I've changed the way that bots spawn in my personal copy of this plugin. The class of bot is randomly chosen (Rifle - 30%, Assault - 30%, Support - 40%) and a random entry from botprofile.db is chosen for the bot name and skill level. I rearranged the entries in botprofile.db as well. If anyone would like to check it out, let me know and I will send the source.

On a side note, when I run my server in single weapon mode, using rockets, the bots use them just fine. However, if I assign a bot to the rocket class, the server becomes very unstable and is apt to crash. I now have to fix one more thing, relevant for my server, to make the bots punch while using a smg no matter their class.

Thank you so much for your hard work in making this bot. It's motivated me to finally buy the game.

I feel like a total noob as I haven't been able to successfully install the bot and get it working properly on my created server in spawning. I've followed your installation directions on the forum here and on the text document that came with the 1.4.5 download as best I can but I'm hazy on certain file locations and where they should be. I have "dods-bots.smx in /dod/addons/sourcemod/plugins" in the right place but I'm not sure where "Add CVARs to server.cfg" is. I'm using steam downloaded version of dod-s.

I also downloaded the dods bots 1.0.0.34 bots pack and installed those to their proper folders via "steamapps\username".

I can't get bots to spawn on my created server. I'm not illiterate to these mod installations as I've done them in the past with bot installs on earlier half life mods but I feel in the dark on this one as the installation instructions don't seem to be your typical "..install these files to these folders and add this text to these files which are located here". Thanks for your help!

You have to create a Dedicated Server. --> Click Me

Sourcemod doesn't work on listen servers. Listenserver is the Creat Game option in the Game itself.

Then You have to install them, like Dog wrote. Then You have to create a Server.cfg --> Click ME

And you have to place it in your cfg.folder

Error #1: You don't have the NAV file for dod_sturm, or it is incorrect. Because there is no NAV file, it will set the mod into setup mode. Post the file if it seems OK and I'll look at it.

Error #2: Will check the second one. It's trying to kill a non-existent timer.

Till yesterday the error 1 was in the logs, but there was never setup mode. Bots were just disabled?
So I have to do "sm plugins unload dods_bots" on every map I do not have a waypointfile for?


Error 2 is new, I have never seen it before ^^

Hello and installed the plugin on my server boot zombie, and quite good, and set the level, accuracy, and other things to my taste, but something that esque zombie my server does not use maps as maps use dod_palermo etc. custody of zm_escaper made by us, I would like saver if one maps flags not go up there to do the file also. nav?
