everything in the console if fine apart from

I dont think there is anything wrong with this(file is in the right place), the clients connecting to the server download it and everything, it just seems that it wont play the sound

What do? ;3
Are you able to play the file via sm_play? Maybe it's a bitrate problem or something along those lines.

Okay so I went and looked, couldnt no sound came from the file with sm_play, changed the mp3 down to 16 bitrate and low stuff like that, so then I thought maybe this Mp3, I converted the file to WAV 16 bitrate and still didnt play >.<
What else do I check for?

I use audacity to change the mp3's rate to 44100Hz @ 128kbps. You may want to give it a shot. I don't think the plugin is your problem here just the attributes of the mp3/wav you are trying to use.

Can i use a file from somebody's server that they know works?
Or could it have something to do with permissions?

Sure. Just connect to a server with saysounds. You have to download them and you can find them in your sgames soundfolder then. Use soemthing like lol and there should not be a problem

Any ideas what might be causing this? Do I need anything for the lib extension to work? I am using sourcemod version 1.4.3-hg3479.

When I type sm plugins in my console, Say Sounds does not appear on any part of the list.
Also, when I try typing sm exts or sm extensions, it just shows this:
SourceMod 1.4.3-dev, by AlliedModders LLC
To see running plugins, type "sm plugins"
To see credits, type "sm credits"
Visit http://www.sourcemod.net/

Btw, I am using sourcemod on the mod Fortress Forever and the server I am renting through Nuclear Fallout is a Windows server (not sure if x86 or 64bit).
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Edit, nvm. I used the older version of this plugin and it works.

What Sampling rate and sound configuration will I need with .wav files and .mp3 files? Some of my .wav files play fine in WMP, but in game, they do not work. None of my .mp3s work either.

Use these rules:

44100khz and
not more than 192kbit
use mp3 since they are smaller then wav. you can convert wav files into mp3

Also, make sure they are uploaded to your game server in the appropriate path and also to your redirect (fast download) in the same exact path

Is there a way to stop this plugin for searching for the vote map time limit? I am using the map chooser extended plugin and not the default vote plugin for sourcemod. So I always get this following error:

L 06/03/2012 - 16:06:15: [saysounds.smx] ConVar sm_mapvote_voteduration not found!
