I am posting this under suggestions/requests because this is not a release. It is simply another stupid thing ive made that ide like to share.

Basically, tanks with controllable turrets. its pretty simple, just updating the origin of the func_tankmortar to follow the func_vehicle and copy the angles from the player to the turret.

Attached are some images of what it looks like, a map i threw together for testing this (.bsp and .map), and a model that I am using for the bullet the tank fires.

I probably should have used a default model for the bullet, but if you don't like it change it.

To use this:
*download the map and extract the .bsp to your maps directory
*download the model (silverball) and extract it to your models folder
*download and install the plugin to your server.

In game:
*you can access the tanks by the ramps placed where they spawn
*you can drive them as you would a normal vehicle (default E)
*you can fire the cannon by pressing your reload key (default R)

I could not get it to hook IN_ATTACK properly while driving, and it seems you can only fire while moving forward... there are a few bugs, but hey, I did this in a few minutes so give me a break.

Again I am releasing this as is, feel free to do what ever you want with it. I am just trying to supply ideas :\

Cool

fm_fakedamage -> fakedamage
fm_set_kvd -> DispatchKeyValue

PHP Code:
engfunc(EngFunc_CreateNamedEntityengfunc(EngFunc_AllocString"info_target"))

// ->

create_entity"info_target" );
Use
register_touch( "fake_bullet", "some_ent_you_want_to_hook", "func" );

you wouldn't be able to spawn them in any map, but in a map that already has them, i suppose you could copy the entities required.

also there is a bug i noticed, but didn't mention in the description. Since the turret&barrel gets moved around into locations it should not normally be, it will disappear at times. if making a map, you need to be able to see the original spawning point of the two entities at all times for them to not disappear. If anyone knows of a way to force update an entities position, it would be appreciated since I've had troubles with this certain error in the past.
