Srcds problem or?? :3

Well, This server i have had for a while now. And have only started using mysql databases on it. For some reason Some plugins won't connect to their databases. when they work on all our other servers. all running same MM and SM versions.

1 Example is the SMDJ plugin, the server will load when there is no/incorrect database config for it. and the plugin will just say the "cannot find database info" error. But when i use the correct database info, The server won't start, Won't give any errors. evem with and without -veryify_all & -debug.

THis is tested and working on 3+ servers. Yes, we have even reinstalled the server.

Any ideas?

Perhaps if you tell us the exact plugins that causes the error's.

No logs. Like i said the server won't start if the correct database is entered, if it's wrong. The server starts but the plugin just can't connect. I have this working on 3 other servers. exact same configs and databases

Have you tried to dload the latest sp and compile it ?

Yes. And it's not just this plugin. It's like everything in my server has problems connectign to the database. same problem with the jukebox plugin aswell. But ONLY on this server.

Are you sure the mysql allows the number of connections that you use ?
Also since you say its only this server, this is what i whould do.
Make a backup, fresh install, then ad the jukebox, se if it starts and conects to the db, if it does, add the other plugins one by one, and if you are lucky you will findd out what plugin is conflicting.

That's the thing. We have re-installed and ran it with just the latest sm and mm base plugins. same problem. Which is why it's so weird. I have never encountered anything like this.

Is the server IP allowed to connect to the webhost? Contact your hosting company and check. They may have restricted access since multiple IP's were connecting.

Yes, Remote sql is enabled ofr that server. i have also disabled my firewall to test. And yes i have also contacted my host and they are not blocking anything and they have assured me it's nothing on their end. But i am 99.9% sure it's nothing on my end either. as it's just a copy of our other servers. I have tried downloading the new .sp compileing ituploading it. disbaled everything except for the base plugins and still no luck. just on this server. and it's not just this plugin having problems. We tried installing jukebox also and it just does the same thing. And the weird part is, sourcebans works fine with no issues.
