This is the more descriptive thread then my last which seemed off-putting from my goal.

So how is it possible to output a .txt file of the current mapname &/or timeleft tille next map, so i can load it into MySql/PHP/PERL or what ever app i run? (if it IS even possible?)

You can query the current map name, using either source query or rcon protocol, and save that in a txt file.

I do that for Source TV demos; along with the demo file I create a text file (based on query / status / log), that shows who was playing as well as the score and chat.

There should be a logfile for every map you are and were running. I think mapname stands in it. Timeleft isnt in it I think, because the Log contains the output of the gameconsole for the whole map.

HERE is little plugin, what was designed, to get timeleft via HLSW, maybe this helps?

What exactly are you planning to do?

sv_logs (I think that was the cvar) has to be on of course to create logs ;)
