Hey guys,

I'd like to know whether it's possible to restrict a value of a convar without any server addon. For example, restrict the fps_max to 500 when the server starts.

You could try hooking the convar with a simple SM plugin and everytime it changes, set it back to default. It should work for fps_max

The easiest way you can restrict a replicated or server side cvar is to set the cvars cheat flag. This way the cvar cannot be changed, even by the server.
