Hey guys i am interested in making a tf2 mod and was wondering how i would go about doing this. I know the hl2 source is basically open so you can mod that but how would you go about modding tf2? I see mods like jetpacks, grappling hooks, rtd and grenades and wonder how people have implemented these in the game. I would like to add new weapons to Tf2 and set up a game system close to customTf. Thank you!

That isn't modding TF2, that is the wonder of sourcemod (Thank you developers) and the plugins you install (Thank you plugin authors that I have not already thanked)

Take a look at the wiki to get yourself started
http://wiki.alliedmods.net/index.php...od_Development
and use the documentation to help find the functions that you need
http://docs.sourcemod.net/api/

yeah i am looking into it, though i wonder if its going to be possible to actually make weapons with new functionalities with this (such as a laser cannon that bounces off of walls).
