Looks like a no spread/no recoil hack. Either way it's legit there's no way anything else than a hack would cause that detection.

I'm also getting a number of "suspected of using auto-trigger cheat: BunnyHop" logs. I'm also being told that the bhop trigger is inconsistent and generally disregardable. I know there's some truth to this because I can get it to trigger on me when I bhop sometimes and I damn sure don't use any cheats! At any point (# of logs, etc) should I genuinely be concerned with this? There's a couple players who are getting logged with it semi-often.

Also on a side note: any way to force these logs to be utf-8 so names don't get garbled? Other plugins do this so I know functionality is there, and that would be awesome!

Would it be possible for a "middle ground" punishment be added to this plugin, like a kick? Policing logs can be very time consuming and with some negative attention we've been getting lately I'd rather not resort to instant permabans.

I can't see any reason for middle-ground when it comes to dealing with a player cheating.

If you're getting negative attention for banning cheaters, then tell whoever it is telling you that to go screw themselves.

In my opinion, and in the opinion of other people who have had their game ruined by players who cheat, cheaters should never be given a second chance by simply kicking them. It just make no sense. This is probably why the authors of the plugin never built-in a kick option.

By negative attention I meant DDOS attacks, should have been clearer.

While I don't want to cave to butthurt cheaters, it's better for my players if the server continues to exist. Here in Aus we have a choice of sub-standard GSP's with DDOS protection (terrible overshared servers) or going it alone with a non-DDOS protected colo host, so taking a hardline approach is likely to either get us cut-off or forced back to a GSP.

This way, they will continue to be kicked if they insist on using cheats (they can't play in the server, players still get a good experience) and they have a chance to correct their behaviour and can only blame themselves if they aren't able to join. I should also note that this is a Zombie:Reloaded server, so cheats are more of an annoyance than a source of moral panic.
