Anyway, since I haven't been actively following what's going on here lately, I tought I'd ask you. Now that I have alot of time in my hands again, I could start developing something.

So, what does the community really need at the moment?

Also, how many of you host dedicated servers at home? And how many of those would be interested in a USB-device that show's you your server status on an LCD + sends you an SMS if the server crashes etc?

Edit: And last but not least, should I get back to the moose?!

But the SMS thing is impossible (i suppose)

I was thinking I could start making such a device (with alot more features, also). Atleast what parts I can afford

How about a Webinterface mod, where you can such control the server live with commands, installing plugins, webftp

Sending an SMS costs $$$, so you'll have to contact some phone operators? Don't you?

No. There's no even need to use any device. You can send the message straight from the server to php server which sends it to free sms provider which forwards it to your cellphone.
