Code:
 DHCP-server. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.2.2.10
See that? It means your computer is getting a dynamic IP from a DHCP server. So this static ip you sort of have is something your ISP is keeping more to themselves than you. I mean, you get to reap a couple benefits from it, but most are non-existent. Do you have any friends that use the same service provider? You could go over to their house and see if ipconfig shows the same or similar results.

but m0gely it makes no sense to me nor all the other users
intern ip never change extern ip never change only something like extern ip port changes.....
and that little thing makes it impossible for users to run things as web servers.... interesting

Well it makes it impossible if they are the ones in control of the NAT which it sounds like they are. Imagine this; it's like you do have a little broadband router. But its located at your ISP where you can't get to it. If you had access to it then that would be easy. I can see an ISP w/ control issues capable of doing something like that though.

that makes sense mate our ips is like this for show nothing else,
we cant control it nor do we have the option to gain control
they are in full control and tells us that ips is static and they do not interfer with privat customer ips...
ill call m tomorrow and tell them this, they will sort it out or they will have lost a good customer
thanks for your time m0gely u shed some light on the situation,
hopw i havent troubled u too much mate

Regards
Deag

if you have a linksys router than you need to upgrade the firm ware, i just got off the phone wth lnk sys because i tried to install a network printer on are lan and it kept changing the i.p and port so the computer would never find the printer because it would always change. If its not a linksys router than i dont know what to tell you

you should, nortan and most f the other internet firewalls dont help. I would recoomend getting a router, or fire box to keep your equpiment safe.

He does have a router. Read a little bit of the history before replying. He just doesn't have it at his house. The ISP is controlling that portion of his connection from their end.
