I tried the plugin out -- great start but I think it needs a bit more work -- I'll run this on my 10 forks but the horizontal blood needs to be cleaned up -- that and it seems to shoot the same amount of blood all the time, which produces a giant cloud of blood. I was hoping more for blood shooting out of the back or a little more blood on the ground around the zombies, rather than just being a cloud.

I'll keep watching! Glad to see plugins are showing up.

As for the tank I'll correct that, and fix the horizontal spray.

I'll try to optimize for fps as well.

I'm gonna add some gibbing too, ribs and etc.

It really has nothing to do with your plugin. The general nature of adding gore/blood/gibs etc into multiplayer environment always means a drop in fps. Thats all. I personally rather have an optimized environment.

I can just see the FPS dropping now.

I just don't like the idea of adding more things that could get in the way while people are playing.

More blood. Less FPS. Why?
Nothing substantial, refer to the thread update.

Yeah I dont see the point either. Good effort but id have to be an idiot to load a plugin on my servers that subtracts FPS and makes the game laggier. Just my humble opinion...

Im glad theres people coding for this game though now. Cant wait to see what crazy plugins people come up with. I may even make one myself.
Sounds to me like you have an ego problem; I'd have to be an idiot to speak before I have facts.

Always? That sounds like an elementary school logical fallacy - oh thats right, it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasty_generalization

Well, you were wrong. Learn something about graphics.

Finally someone with some respectable level of intelligence. I lack on creativity, thus it is nothing but clouds. These clouds have been programmed to 'squirt' out the front and back, but very slightly - I havn't utilized these feature and it lacks realism. I will have the distance shooting scale with the velocity of the guns, i.e. a sniper rifle will blow blood out a good distance while pistols will not.

When the SDK gets released I will be able to add more cool features. Next on my list is fixing the horizontal blood sprays, adding blood on the ground, and other goodies.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it Packhead.

If your complaining about FPS drops either...

a) Your server is running on terrible hardware, or the box is completely overloaded.
b) Your computer barely meets the system requirements to run Left 4 Dead and you should stick to minesweeper.
c) Its a placebo affect, and you think your FPS are dropping because more is happening than normal.

Either way, this uses the same method that valve uses, the particle system. Every time you shoot a gun, a boomer explodes, or any other thousands of events occur, particles are created. This plugin adds a few extras to increase the gore of the game.

Nice really nice

Q : Will it be possible to set more or less blood in the future ? (or gibs when it would be implemented)
