I think it would be outside the scope.

I am getting this error, even though I got SteamWorks installed correctly.

Code:
[SM] Plugin auto_steam_update.smx failed to load: Required extension "SteamWorks" file("SteamWorks.ext") not running.
Downloaded SteamWorks-git100-linux from this link: http://users.alliedmods.net/~kyles/builds/SteamWorks/
Help is appreciated.

Is a server restart required?

Shouldn't be, try manually loading it.

Not sure what happened, but after trying to restart the server it works now from the looks of it.

I'd still love a native to get the server's SteamID.

Either or really, I still think: why? would be more ideal. I can think of a few use-cases, but it's your call.

Filed a bug: https://bugs.alliedmods.net/show_bug.cgi?id=6404

I have a couple use-cases (for which I parse the output of 'status' using ServerCommandEx currently):

1. Ensuring that the server is logged into its persistent account
2. Identifying to an external server (that the gameserver connects to)

People could potentially use SteamIDs to identify their servers as well instead of using their own numbering system.

I'm trying to build this extension.

I get this error:
Code:
/home/d/SDK/hl2sdk-sdk2013/public/steam/matchmakingtypes.h: In member function ‘const char* servernetadr_t::ToString(uint32, uint16) const’:
/home/d/SDK/hl2sdk-sdk2013/public/steam/matchmakingtypes.h:159:139: error: ‘Q_snprintf’ was not declared in this scope
  Q_snprintf (s[nBuf], sizeof( s[nBuf] ), "%u.%u.%u.%u:%i", (int)(ipByte[3]), (int)(ipByte[2]), (int)(ipByte[1]), (int)(ipByte[0]), usPort );
Here is my configuration settings:
Code:
d@ubuntu:~/SDK/SteamWorks/build$ python ../configure.py
--hl2sdk-root /home/d/SDK/
--mms-path /home/d/SDK/mmsource-1.10/
--sm-path /home/d/SDK/sourcemod/
--steamworks-path /home/d/SDK/SteamWorks/
Am I doing something wrong?

I installed SteamWorks latest linux build on 5 CS:GO servers. On my surf one it was causing a weird bug: Vac was disabled and when players tried to join the server they were kicked with the following message: "Server only accepting connections from game lobby 94.132.118.32:27005 22132949

I also installed this plugin https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=237481

Edit: The issue wasn't with steamworks. I just put a login_token from a different game in my server.

SteamWorks_RestartRequested doesn't seem to do anything on tf2
There is a request in the console, but nothing triggers the forward
