the pinger maynot be working properly or trying to ping too fast. it reboots the server when it is not down. Possibly add more attempts or space the attempts further apart or let users ping an appropriate value to test the server

More than likely the server was running already (or the srcds.exe process was running even if the server wasn't up)....

Feature request: If an update is detected can it be delayed to a time of choosing ie: 4AM. The recent update worked perfectly except it shut down during prime time use to update.
