Hi people.

I don't know why this isn't working.

I also tried to do this.

Still not working, I'm just trying to do this by myself I removed my surf map on my Steam map.(not the server that would be stupid.)
So It loads and it try's to download the .nav file.
But then it goes back to the main menu..
Please help me I want to set my surf server as public.

The IP you have assigned is the local loopback IP, is the fastdl server on the same server as your CS:GO server?

Yes this is true, I'm doing this for testing the server before putting it on public.

Ah you have your maps in .bsp, they need to be compressed to .bz2

You can do this using 7zip

The correct cvars is:

sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowdownload 1/0, you choose.
sv_downloadurl "YOUR URL HERE"

You also need this url order:

http://www.example.com/csgo
In your csgo directory you can have your maps, materials, etc.

Directory example tree:

../csgo/maps
../csgo/materials
../csgo/anything

They do not need to be, but they are the first item to be requested before defaulting to .bsp.
However, that is not to say they shouldn't be compressed for the clients sake.

As for why it's not downloading, you didn't setup your directory correctly.

Put your structure as such and all your maps in the maps folder, fastdl/csgo/maps
