Does anyone remember how it was done in CS 1.6?

Like the "20 seconds until explosion" then counting down from 10. Also that "The time is xxxxx PM"

Or was that something that only AMX:X offered?

Yes, quite specifically there was localized sounds, you could string together a bunch of "play" commands for it to work.

They had the words from "one" to "twenty" and "until" and "explosion" in the built into the game (go in console and type in "play twenty" or "speak twenty seconds until explosion")

It was a neat system but required a lot of sounds, to preserve on size of the game they removed this functionality as it was unnecessary in HL2

if you need countdown sounds, they are here =)

only one thing: name of each sound file (or all sounds name template) must be set as variable (for custimisation by admin)

How do i extend the C4 timer? is it under the .sp file, and what do i edit to make it so it starts counting at 30?
