I agree the charge should be way higher as a punishment, but what I see when I look at the plaintiff is just an opportunist. McDonald's wouldn't be hurt if you sued for 100 million dollars, but I do see a certain amount of immorality on the customer's part. I'm not saying they shouldn't sue, I'm just saying it's pathetic.

Yeah, your right. If he really wanted to go for justice, he should of gone for the people inside the restaurant who screwed up his order. Not McDonald's as a whole. Still, that large # is because of Punitive Damages (I believe thats the legal term). One thing this man will have to prove is that, this isn't just the people's fault inside the Restaurant, but McDonalds as a whole.

1million? this guy want a hell lot more.
He relly takes it to the next level.
I hope what they really mean is $63 billion, not $63,000,000,000 billion. Because the latter is actually $63,000,000,000,000,000,000 ($63 quintillion).

Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- A small South Carolina parts supplier collected about $20.5 million over six years from the Pentagon for fraudulent shipping costs, including $998,798 for sending two 19-cent washers to an Army base in Texas, U.S. officials said.
The company also billed and was paid $455,009 to ship three machine screws costing $1.31 each to Marines in Habbaniyah, Iraq, and $293,451 to ship an 89-cent split washer to Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Pentagon records show

I suggest you read that article. The people in charge of the shipping company are now facing fraud charges for exploiting a design flaw in an automated billing system.

You will have heard the expression, "Don't believe everything you read in the papers". Not only is that more relevant to the internet (because it is subject to less regulation), but if you only read headlines as a news source, you're going to be wildly misinformed about the majority of stories.

You also think incompetence should be punished by eternal pain and suffering? Incompetence is comparable to evil? NB: I don't believe in any kind if supernatural 'hell'.

No you cant... Welcome to reality, where Micheal Jackson is the equivalent to a priest, but actually got away with it. This is by no means, a rip on any religion. If anyone dares say it is, you are a complete and UTTER moron for not understanding where it comes from.
