Hello everybody

I've got a problem. After the penultimate update that valve made the game L4D2- i have a serious problem. When the server changes the map for example c5m3> c5m4 all players are disconnected and the server back to the map c1m1. This only started happening after the recent updates of the game. Its not happen every map, i guess 5 times/day

My server runs with 20 slots superversus, metamod 1.8.0 V, sourcemod 1.4.0-dev (i got the snapshot version like 20 days ago).

I have no idea what happens, i try change the versions of plugins, turn off the fun plugins and still disconnecting.

Can u guys help me?

Have you look if there appears any error messages in
..addons/sourcemod/logs/error_xxx.txt ??
There could be found plugin name what cause this ?

And have you try move one of plugins in
...addons/sourcemod/plugins/disabled -folder and try again if this happen ?

Could be this "L4D Force Mission Changer" (1.4.0) by Dionys ?

HI...

The plugin Force Mission Changer was for L4D1, but a member from this forum edited for L4D2 and works fine.

you can post txt/log files in your post using attach
anyway... if you read at all ?
there appears lot of errors from plugin called L4DPointsandGift_en_1.35x.smx

So now you have to test by yourself, move this plugin /disabled folder and reboot server.
Check happen this again, if do ?

Then you can try move other plugin (or all no-by AlliedModders LLC) reboot and look if happen again ?
This way you maybe can find it... but could be cause something else thaan SM plugins but try these first.

Sorry, I got the wrong file error, i removed that plugin L4D_giftsandpoints some weeks ago. Then the correct file error I update in this post.

SilentBr in that error_xx.log you fail run SDKTools

meta list show what plugins installed
sm exts list show what extension plugins running
Make sure you have newest MMS 1.8.0 and stable SM 1.3.1
Check you have addons/sourcemod/extensions/sdktools.ext.2.l4d2.so

You are using snapshot SM 1.4.0 and I don't know maybe it not stady...

MasterMe about post #15 you have not installed D-fens...
one of those [x] <NOFILE> is addons/metamod/D-FENS.vdf file what you have not edit right !! Metamod fail load that !
Open it with Notepad or other text editor that D-FENS.vdf.
Should look like this ?

Bah! I didn't know that you needed to edit the D-Fens VDF file, thanks for that!
Also, 'dosattacfix' / 'DAF' also was a faulty .VDF, and inside the readme which was hidden very good, I found that it is for Team Fortress 2.

I also found that the problem of changing the map was FMC (Force Mission Changer), it always does it when there is a all-bot-team and sometimes just randomly.

Does anyone has something that simply remove the rematch vote, or changes map before the vote can end, also a auto-vote-yes plugin would be nice.

In the meantime, I heard some people say that FMC is causing this with SM 1.4-DEV only, I'll get a stable (1.3) version to test it...

Ok, using the stable SM 1.3 FMC still does this, but...
This time it was different, instead of going back go c1m1_hotel it went to the next map (c2m2_fairgrounds -> c2m3_coaster) yet everyone was kicked out (with no message).

So using a stable SM doesn't work...
Any ideas?

EDIT: I'm gonna try to edit the txt to not only FMC from c1m4_atrium -> c2m1_highway, c2m5_concert -> c3m1_plankcountry etc, but for each map:
c1m1_hotel -> c1m2_streets -> c1m3_mall -> c1m4_atrium etc.
