i thought I was, I found the problem

it was blocking external connections...i was pretty sure it wasn't, so I had to go to my control panel on my hosting website and add the IP of my server, works WONDERFULLY now!

What does this mean:

I am pretty sure this is because the external connections ar not availabe.

Can some tell me for what should i ask from my hoster?

Just tell them you need external MySQL access from another server, and give them the IP address to your server/s.

I't a new host and a friend of mine and he's just learning things about mysql connection.

Would stats counting still work if i use sqlite and sourcemod-storagelocal?

I know that in this case i won't have web statistic but still have a nice stat sytem on the serv.

For additional information, I saw in my server (localhost for L4D and MySql) internal connection on the port 3306.
I think you have to open this one, it's the default port MySql listens. TCP or UDP ? I'm not sure, open twice to be sure

You can test using SQLite but I do not provide official support for it. You may run into problems, I've frankly never tested with it. I have no clue what hosting or control panel you are using so I don't know what to tell you there. Ask your hosting company.

I think that MySQL is TCP but I'm not 100%.

Phpmyadmin is a web interface to manage databases/tables...
Mysql is a database server

So Phpmyadmin connect to MySql only for managing databases managed by Mysql

If I'm not too confused

But control panel from your hosting company may have an option about firewall (accept connections from the internet for example), or many others options, perhaps

Any chance that we could have it log medals/achievements won by each person.

for example for each person it says X number of medals/achievements won on this server.

and then we could have a total overall number of achievements won by everyone.
