I running servers almost 5 years and I always want to crashed unicode to fix in server program and log.. but never happened

crashed unicode means like this "걁깁ㄼ밹뛟^盧 +etc anything word that can't make sence"
it show in server panel but log is alright(if use notepad++ UTF-8 format convert)

any idea? sorry for my bad english I'm not in my home and computer

ps. linux is fine but windows not right

Sometimes chat not showing unicode is a client issue.
Like if you don't have language support installed. I noticed in the past, just putting a file on my desktop using unicode characters fixed it when I went in game. Strange.

so... I'm not sure fully understand what your saying but my problem is this


Client say : "한국어테스트" => Server Console : "?쒓뎅?댄뀒?ㅅㅂ듃"

when I was using linux all text are showing correctly in server console but windows not

I'm actually really bad at english haha... sorry

I think you would need an extension to change the console codepage, or hook something to map UTF-8 to whichever codepage that is

But if you want use in only windows cmd, look same link and other posts.

Either way, still you should not change this.
This can give you errors and bugs, hanging server etc. etc.

As I think, the problem is rather that the game client console uses either a font that does not support these characters, or an encoding other than UTF-8 (e.g. UTF-16LE which is used in game resource text files).

ok.
I assumed problem be SRCDS console from OS Windows, by default it only show ASCII codes.
