It also loads fine for "Marvel" who posted a few posts above.

All i did was install the new metamod snapshot as normal, then put the metamod.vdf back in the addon folder and i purposely left the sourcemod.vdf in so i could see if Sourcemod would also load and then I started the Server up.

It would not start up with Sourcemod loaded so i then removed the sourcemod.vdf to prevent sourcemod from loading and the Server started up fine confirming that the latest Metamod snapshot now loads fine on its own but Sourcemod does indeed require updating.

Also, just in case anyone is not aware, there has been a further L4D2 update since last night so update your Server again if you havent already.

Btw, I'm going offtopic here sorry for that, but can you server admins see this as well? Server's timing out now and then in HLSW?

Check the screenie.

I played on it and you don't notice it while playing, but it it since the new dedicated server version for linux, even with a clean, official install.

UPDATE: VALIDATED dedicated server files, all 100% ok and still crashes

did you somehow edit the metamod.vdf for windows?

ps: using winXP 32-bit

Excuse my noobness here. So I have a Left4Dead2 server set up on a windows XP machine at home. It's used solely to allow 5 of us to play in campaign mode, so has the appropriate mods on it to allow that.

As of today it no longer runs.

So am I simply waiting for a new/fixed version of Metamod to unzip into my install, and likewise for Steammod?

And that will fix it?

I really don't want to go through a whole install again which took a long time to get right/working

To get 5 survivors in co-op, you need a working metamod (check, that works now) and you need a plugin to get it up to 5 players, either a sourcemod extension or metamod plugin.

So the answer is YES

Nope all mostly fine here so far although i am seeing quite a few High Pingers playing the Server due to me not having my Sourcemod High Ping Kicker running.

Nope, metamod.vdf has not been edited and is as it was.

mmsource-1.8.1-hg696.zip works fine for me but 697 doesn't, just exits on server start (server is running latest update)
