    Particle Fireworks






    Description


    Fire fireworks of particle in the sky when round end or when you want !


    With the 2.0 version (all files change excepted the sounds) :
    - It automatically find the zone to launch the fireworks in the map. For that it will generate the zone around the sky_camera.
    - It is not a necessity to edit fireworks_tf_pos.cfg when you use a new map if it has a sky_camera.
    - In the case that your map has no sky_camera entity, add your map in fireworks_tf_pos.cfg and edit your zone position to fire.
    - In the case that there is a sky_camera but you can't see fireworks in sky, add your map in fireworks_tf_pos.cfg and edit your zone position to fire.
    - You can force night skies by using cvar fw_force_night

    How does it works ?

    Admin Commands (flag generic) :
    Code:
    fireworks <TIME> // force to launch fireworks for X sec fireworks start // starts fireworks
    fireworks stop // stop fireworks [/LEFT]

    CVAR :
    Code:
    fw_force_night   (def:0)           // 1 = Force night sky for the next maps



    Zone position file: fireworks_tf_pos.cfg
    Spoiler

    Use this file to force position in map to launch fireworks.
    Contain zone positions where fireworks will be launched. This zone is generally in the skybox that contain the sky_camera.
    You can delete map, or add custom map.




    Particle list file: fireworks_tf_list.txt
    Spoiler


    Contain particle that appear when fireworks explode.
    You can delete particle, or add custom particle.






    Installation

    fireworks.smx in tf\addons\sourcemod\plugins
    fireworks.sp in tf\addons\sourcemod\scripting
    fireworks_tf_list.txt in tf\addons\sourcemod\configs
    fireworks_tf_pos.cfg in tf\addons\sourcemod\configs

    Decompress firework_sounds.zip , and place the folder on your server.

    how do you get the zone position coordinates on other maps ?

    In hammer you can have the coordinate. In game you need to do that :

    In hammer you can have the coordinate. In game you need to use a plugin (I give you one) :

    Plugin isn't really neccesary, you can just enter cl_showpos 1 in the console to see your coordinates and angle.

    And the rest of the files are located in the proper directory. FastDL files seem to work as well as I'm downloading them before I join the server.

    Or you could just grab the origin of the sky camera entity.

    Shouldn't these sounds be in the /orangebox/tf/custom/custom_sounds/sound/fireworks folder instead?

    @ Smackdaddy:
    You can use both, the old way or the new way. It downloads on the clientside in the download folder. The new way is bit harder to do, so the old way is better.

    But it may be because of sv_pure. Easiest way is to set it to -1 so no restriction, or on 1.

    Very very smart to use removeedict... After grabbing a ent index via timer.
