Hello,

i have a strange problem. This is fresh SB installation. I'm moving from old VPS to new VPS. At this point everything looks ok except commands.

I have added server and SB is able to connect to this server as i can see players, time etc.
I was able to upload Perm Bans from old SB to new one without any problems.

But when i want to give a player ban from SB web i get:
Can't get player info for Equelister. Player is not on the server (185.36.170.231:27017) anymore!

Try this.

Open init.php in your Web Install of SOURCEBANS and change the following line from

Yes I did, but just because you prefer to forward someone to another topic and I just post the most relevant post of that topic here directly, I think that is not really worth a discussion.

And well, if I learned one thing since being with computers, its that whatever someone says is appearantly fixed, usually isnt. ;)

Funny thing, now it happens again. Even with the changes and it worked up til now. How can that be ? Were there any updates to Sourcemod via the Updater that changed something ? Because I have the same problem again, cant kick or ban someone or see his profile, but only send message. Nothing has changed on my Servers or the Webpage of SB.

Someone with a similiar problem ?

P.S: I suppose Rcon is a must for the Webpanel to work with commands, correct? just asking because i read somewhere that its more secure to not use Rcon password at all, to prevent others trying to hack Rcon. But without Rcon there is no commands from the SB Webpanel, correct?

Yes that's correct. When I had this issue it was due to SMAC's RCON Locker. It kept changing the RCON password to blank so everytime I sent commands from the webpanel it would spew out rcon badpass on the server console.
