Okay thanks for helping me. Are there different kinds of RT patch's or do you mean different versions for each of the kernel versions?

Lately i tried with kernel linux-3.2.1 but got confused which of the RT patch i should use. Can you tell whats the difference between patch and patches like the following?
patch-3.2-rt10.patch.gz

patches-3.2-rt10.tar.gz

When i mean different version i am talking about the RT patch, because how often the RT kernel is worked on some times older versions give you better performance.

EDIT:
As for thoes 2 patches, they look like the same version of the patch to me but i am no expert on the Linux kernel or it's mods.

Someone can send me a link to download a 1000hz optimized kernel for Debian 6? Or a tutorial for compile the kernel for this version of OS?
I tried with this tutorial http://wiki.fragaholics.de/index.php...l_Optimization but it's a little difficult for a linux newbie like me :s

I have now tried a lot of kernels with RT patches but only one kernel version stood out and gave a good result which is:

2.6.26.8-rt16 but for that you have to use debian 5.0.

The result was 999-1000fps with pingboost 2 where all the other kernel versions where fluctuating between 900 to 1000 fps.

Still wondering how i can check if the high resolution timer are being used and if the system is really running in real-time. So if anybody know how to check this, i would like to know.

I will still try to get a newer version of the kernel working but if people want a guide, send me an PM and i will consider it.
