Check if you have left4dhooks installed properly and updated.

I did a test and in my setup it wasn't insta-kill commons. Maybe has some plugin conflict, to be sure remove all plugins (except left4dhooks) and test.

This super, the only problem I have is the m60 rifle even though I put less damage and the zombies more health keep dying at the first shot I don't know how to fix that :llorar::llorar:

I did some tests and it is working fine with M60.

Try setting the following cvar to 0:
l4d2_nerf_damage_common_insta_kill_chance 0.

From my tests, M60 should do around 50 damage on common infected.

Also, set the "z_health" to something like "99999" to test.

Check if you are using the latest version cause I remember having multiple releases on this plugin.

If you aim to the head then the common will die faster anyway.

This addon do random crashes with Extended Common Population (L4D2 closes without any warning when an apparently random zombie receives damage):

@Toranks, I installed this addon and tested it together, haven't caught any crashes, at least I wasn't able to reproduce, so probably they are compatible.

From the scripting perspective, there is nothing in the plugin that would make the server crash, may be other plugin or addon combination.

@gamer_kanelita, M60 is working fine for me.

Try typing "sm_print_cvars_l4d2_nerf_damage_common" in console and check if there is something set wrong.

Apparently it was related to the population mod (mandatory), and not the extended common infected mod itself. Since there are several population mods compatible with ECI, different from each other, I tried another one, and now there are no problems. Thanks for checking it out! I love this addon as instakill weapons seem too OP for me

The note contradicts the configuration of the file. Maybe I have to set it to 0 so zombies don't die instantly with any headshot? Or is it an unimplemented function?

Is just a cvar to avoid checks when it is a headshot.
The plugin shouldn't do anything since I'm not able to prevent the insta-kill from hs.
Maybe I will remove this cvar in a future release. (misleading)

I've played with this plugin for months with l4d2_nerf_damage_common_wound_dead on 0 because I like to see the dismembered zombies run towards me, and it has worked perfectly. One of the players who came on my server asked me to turn it off and I set it to 1, and then it started giving me random crashes when shooting zombies (without message). Do you know what could be due?
And another thing, would it be possible to prevent only the legs from dismembering? That zombies run without heads or without arms is ok, but that they fly is magical xD
