ThePlanet is terrible, we're moving from them very soon (although thank God our server was not caught up in that mess). A few weeks ago ThePlanet called me to tell me the AlliedModders box was down, and I asked "Why?"

The guy (who sounded stoned) said "I dunno..." "Well... are you planning on finding out?" "I guess I could... reboot it."

We lost 435 days of uptime. It took two phone calls and 30 minutes to get them to reboot it.

Later I demanded to know what happened, they told me to check "/var/log" and if I wanted any more info I'd have to submit to four hours of downtime for them to do diagnostics. There was nothing in /var/log but at that point I'd already made the decision to switch providers soon.

Our clan was paying $170 for a half share of a P4 Dallas server from a TP reseller. I suggested we pay $174 for a Core 2 Duo server with more RAM. Despite the sale representative's assurance we would remain in Dallas, we were put in EV1's Houston DC. From the outset, a notable portion of our community experienced minor packet loss and this continues to this day.

This month's bill was waived and the coming December will be free too (obviously that's intended as an incentive for people to stay). For someone who only hosts a tiny web site and a couple of CS servers, $348 credit for two days downtime is pretty damn amazing. We also have a 15% discount on new orders.
