Why wads don't download using FastDL?

the topic question.
why, i had some problems before with the map .res files and such, i apparently fixed them but i got that question.. why .wads don't download from Fast? or is there a config i should know?

It worked for me if i put them into the .res file of the map. Just make sure the filenames mach, pay attention on small and capital letters on linux servers.

alas, it won't download from fast, but i got a hint:
the server http direction its the same of the fastdl.. ¿does this have some effect on it?
everything gets dl'd really fast except that stuff, its just painful -.-

wad files work perfectly fine via fast download. Maybe you are trying to use a very large one.

Again, it worked fine for me, no problems at all
Please post the content of a .res file and your downloadurl

its not the .res file, if the res file doesn't have that .wad file indexed on it, the server crashes.. they're not large.. but maybe im the only one whos experiencing this on my server

Hy YakumoHiratsuhi, The .bsp file (map) it downloads automaticaly the folowing needed files .mdl , .spr , .wav i dont know why not the .wad files

So to solve the problem you must add manualy the name of the .wad file in mapname.res for example my map zm_crates needs the wad zm_crates_big.wad you can manualy make the .res file with notepad and add in the first line:

zm_crates_big.wad

Or you cand use ResGen (search on google) this tool makes this auto, just download it and drag the .bsp file overit

If this don't help be sure that the web server allows acces to the .wad files and don't have a restriction trought .htacces!
