Since I upgraded to linux kernel 2.6 on mu SuSE machine I have been getting this error message:

Code:
[AMXX] Module is not a valid library (file "cstrike/addons/amxx/modules/mysql_amx_i686.so")L 05/17/2004 - 20:48:23: [AMXX] Make sure that modules are compatible with AMX Mod X 0.16
L 05/17/2004 - 20:48:23: [AMXX] Please fix the problem then start the server again
./hlds_run: line 423: 3359 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Mon May 17 20:48:28 CEST 2004: Server restart in 10 seconds
Any ideas?

I have gentoo 2004, glibc 2.3, gcc 3.3.3, kernel 2.6.6. I think some files is missing in my linux that caused this error, any ideas?

Nobody should be using any i686 binaries... it's posted all over...

Maybe later they will be more stable, but there aren't many folks using them now... though many have tried.

Not sure why this is happening, my machine uses Gentoo, gcc 3.4, kernel 2.6.6 and all this worked fine... my only guess is your machines may use a different, incompatible libmysql. Maybe I will make a module simular for linux so people can debug this :\

I think the main issue with them (and this is way out of any area of expertise I have, I just read too many forums and glean info) is they are optimised for the system that compiles them and rarely are Linux boxes the same flavors.

I do i686 compiling on that gentoo machine and i386 compiling on a 200MHz Debian Stable running gcc-2.95, glibc 2.2

Hell, I try everything, but rarely does an i686 version work on my server, though at times one module will and the others dont. I use the ones that do
