I have rock the vote, mapchooser, and nextmap enabled. I have my maplists.cfg set up so when rock the vote comes up it chooses from my maplist and the normal cycle is mapcycle.

But this never works. I've seen countless threads on this subject and their "fix" is always something lame like they forgot a file. I need help finding out what file or dumb thing I've missed because I've been searching for an answer to this for a while.

I don't want my mapcycle to be ALL the maps in my maplist.

put this in your server.cfg

mapcyclefile mapcycle.txt
or
mapcyclefile maplist.txt

whichever one you want to use

hmm unfortunaetly that's the only way to do it from what I have been trying. maplists.cfg doesn't seem to work right, and the only way I have ever gotten the rtv/mapchooser plugins to work right is to use the mapcyclefile. trust me I'd like to do the same thing, have users be able to vote for every map, but only have 2 or 3 maps in the actual cycle. but i have not gotten this to work right and have tried for a long time maybe someone can chime in

maplists.cfg seems to work for me...
make sure you have "target" "cfg"
and "file" "file"

"rockthevote"
{
"file" "maplist.txt"
}

/* For the "rockthevote" plugin */
"rockthevote"
{
"file" "addons/sourcemod/configs/rockthevote.txt"
}

both ways seem to be working for me
