I run a glibc2.3 server, change my liblist.gam with:
gamedll_linux /addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i686.so

but when I run my server , I got this error:
No such file or directory for the file metamod_i386.so ???

Where is my error? Does I need metamod_i386.so too in my /metamod/dlls directory?

I know that I have to put 686 and not 386, that is what I have but it tell me:
Loadlibrary failed on ./cstike/addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386

I got no idea...
If I put metamod_i386.so in addons/metamod/dlls/ it works.....but...

dude the message can't get much easier to understand. you are trying to load the 386 module. Now it's really nice and all that you put a 686 binary in the dlls directory, but did you tell hlds to load the 686 file. I'd bet you didn't edit your liblist.gam or the -dll switch(whichever you use to load metamod)

for all laziness you could also have just renamed the file, the things people post here

change my liblist.gam with:

I have told my hlds to load the i686...
I think i am going to make a fresh intall cause i don t understand why it load 386 and not 686.
If I load using -dll option, I get the same error.
If I make a mistake writting it:
-dll /addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i686.so

I have the error on:
/cstrike//addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so

So if I try to load the 686 one, it wants the 386 too....???
just remaming the file from 686 to 386 and telling my liblist.gam to load the 386, it works...

It should be "addons" not "/addons".

Also, I had this problem before. It would look for the old file mysteriously isntead of the new. Solution: symlink.

No, it's because "/addons/" is equivalent to saying C:/addons/ and "addons/" is equivalent to saying "./addons"

)I make this error with / to show what the server tell went it start.
it load the metamod from a directory witch do not exist, I know.
For sure the server load:
/cstrike//addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so
witch , I know, is not valid.
But please see witch metamod is loaded; the 386 and not the 686 i ask in my command line.(hlds_run -game cstrike........metamod_i686.so)

I will try to re download metamod and see...
What is "simlink" BAILOPAN? (sorry for my bad english )
