You can try it on 1.7 and under and see if anything doesn't work as I haven't tested that. (1.8 is stable so testing on older versions seems pointless to me)

Yea I might try 1.8 again. It might be that one of my plugins doesn't like 1.8. But it would have to be a plugin that is shared accross all my servers and I have only a few of those... I'll try this on 1.7.3 and see what happens.

Since the chat flags system has some issues I'm not quite sure how to address (and even if I do, they probably won't make any sense), I just posted a branch for this plugin that has some quite significant API changes.
