thank you for completing this mongoose, that will mean alot to alot of servers, mine included. Sorry about all the nagging you got to finish it, but quake sounds have always been very very popular, probably the most popular plug in.

anyways, thank you again.

Did you remove any keys from the quakesoundlist.cfg file? Also, if you upgraded to the latest version did you install the new quakesoundlist.cfg file from that distribution?

I will add some error checking to prevent this from happening but I suspect that is the cause of the problem.

Thats interesting. Please send me your addons/sourcemod/configs/quakesoundlist.cfg file if you can.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, double check in your console that sm_quakesounds_fb is actually set to 0. Also, can you check in the console and let me know what sm_quakesounds_version is?

I tested turning first blood on and off so I know it works in some circumstances. Also that part of the code is pretty simple so it is likely something installation related.

It sounds like the plugin did not load. Are there any errors in addons/sourcemod/logs or your server logs?

The plugin will exit under two circumstances:
  1. sm_quakesounds_enable is set to 0
  2. The addons/sourcemod/configs/quakesoundslist.cfg file is not a valid keyvalues file.
I would recommend reuploading addons/sourcemod/configs/quakesoundslist.cfg to see if that solves the problem.

i have found the failure i have installed the windowsversion of sourcemod on a linuxsystem ... i am so stupid ;-)

found the error in the logs from sourcemod like this:
Code:
[SM] Unable to load plugin "quakesounds.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
now i have this:
Code:
18:15:32 sm_quakesounds_version
18:15:32 "sm_quakesounds_version" = "0.8"
          notify singleplayer replicated
          - Quake Sounds Version
looks good :-)

thanks for your reminder
