I am trying to get MM/SM to work with the latest update to l4d2 with my linux server provided by a provider.

through countless hours checking the passing thread (which has been closed) we still havent been able to get it to work.. heres the latest:

This is the problem I am having, I reinstalled the metamod and source mod for scratch.

I got the files from the website so its the latest versions. When I upload the metamod.vdf the content on the file states that there should be a server.so in /addons/metamod/bin/, but there isn't there is a server_i486.ini.

I even edited the metamod.vdf it still says it failed to load. I am not sure why its doing this. I researched and and all the info I came across didn't help.

This problem occurred after the updates that VALVE had on the games.
