DOD:S command restriction ?

Hi all,

After the famous update of this engine, clients can execute some "like-cheats" commands. One example is setinfo cl_predict 0. This command disable the recoil of any weapon (no neccesary sv_cheats 1 to work). This provides advantage over players who play without recoil, and I think this can not be used (or only you can use if you have a server with sv_cheats 1).

Is there any method to deny players executing this type of commands ? Is there any plugin to deny this ?

that won't work, you cannot block that command as it's
part of "setinfo" and I'm pretty sure that you cannot block that.

Use the plugin attached, it will deny access to the server for players
that have "cl_predict 0", will warn players that change it to "0" and
immediately perm-ban players that try to shoot with that setting.

That will be part of my "DoD AimBot Detection Source" plugin

It works fine.

Also I found the server CVAR to forbid that setinfo command... sv_client_predict 1 (this command forces the cl_predict)

If you put sv_client_predict -1 the clients can put the value of setinfo cl_predict

When you warn someone for changing cvar to 1, is it a private or public message? Is that saved in logs?

Because I would like to read logs to find people banned and who tried to change cvar.

Well, due to the Plugin being redundant if you use "sv_client_predict 1"
I didn't do any further "development" on it.
