BTW nice re-do. All the members love it! But, I'm having alot of issues with the sounds. I have them as wav's(which i prefer MP3) but apparently I don't have them in the right place(tf/sound/mapchooser) cuz they have to re-download every time (same as me. as I've checked my local folders every time). And you never gave the official sounds or directory placement. I hate seeing the same DL every time i join. Can you help me out pls.

@ballz.In the map chooser .cfg the location of the sound files are this

"sourcemod/mapchooser/votestart.wav" If you have your own webspace where you have the sound files make sure the folder setup is the same also have the same setup on your server.It sounds like you do not have the same folder setup in your webspace and the files are downloading everymap change from your server.

@thetwistedpanda,how about adding to the plugin random vote sounds.You could have several sounds and at each map vote the plugin picks 1 at random

Ok, I have changed to the proper locations ty. But they don't play. I'll check the sample rates and kbps and get back. I'm no longer having to re-download them is how i know they are in the correct spots on the server & Fastdownload servers. But just havn't yet heard them que up during voting.

You need to locate your pure_server_whitelist text document and look for this part of the text

//
// By default, when in pure server mode, most content file types are only allowed to come from Steam.
//
materials\... from_steam
models\... from_steam
sound\... from_steam
sound\misc\*.* allow_from_disk
sound\sourcemod\mapchooser\*.* allow_from_disk

Add this line just like i have

sound\sourcemod\mapchooser\*.* allow_from_disk,your sounds should play now.

If you have another bit of webspace where you store your maps and sounds to allow for fast downloads you will need to put in the bit of code as shown.I have my own dedicated server and store my maps and sounds in my own webspace,the sounds did not work until i added that bit of code

The "bit of code" is the "whilelist" file? I don't understand why that would need to go to the fastdownload server..U am proly just confused. If you don't mind re-posting the code you speak of I would be very appreciative. Thanks for all the help.

I have my dedicated server set up on my F:drive on my pc,the pure_server_whitelist is located here

F:\TF2\orangebox\hl2

Look for this bit of text

//
// By default, when in pure server mode, most content file types are only allowed to come from Steam.
//
materials\... from_steam
models\... from_steam
sound\... from_steam

then add this bit of text

sound\sourcemod\mapchooser\*.* allow_from_disk

So the text should look like this

//
// By default, when in pure server mode, most content file types are only allowed to come from Steam.
//
materials\... from_steam
models\... from_steam
sound\... from_steam
sound\sourcemod\mapchooser\*.* allow_from_disk

The pure_server_whitelist txt document does not go to your fast download webspace,it is located where you have your server so it should be located here

TF2\orangebox\hl2

I had another plugin,saysounds,where i had the same problem,the sounds downloaded but did not play,i found out that i had to add a bit of code to the pure_server_whitelist txt document,after that they played fine,it was the same with this plugin,sounds did not play until i added another bit of code to make them play
