ok, i have two server hosters
one of them is cs zm. normally about 5-6 player, sometimes 10
and on that machine is a deathrun server aswell
the ram is 256mb, internet speed 50mb
then i have a csdm server on a different hosters machine.
ram 256mb, internet speed 100mb i tried to make servers on there, any that failed i deleted. now i made a csdm in one dir (also a surf in another dir but it's off) csdm also has bots. heres the problem. when ever there are people in the server, there ping is 50 at one second, then everyones ping is 400. this is for everybody. when it lags in the favorites section it says the ping is about 40. sorry if you don't understand, i'm in a rush. thing is, all the servers in csdm host lag alot. and mainly the csdm. i don't think it's any of the plugins, as i have disabled some, and tried different mods. do you think it's the host?

It's your ram. 256 MB isn't nearly enough to run those servers. You'd be lucky to run one vanilla server. Upgrade your RAM to atleast 2 GB if you are even thinking about running multiple servers with Mods.

With 256MB RAM, you'd be lucky to get a 4 player ZP server running fine

lol.... i already have had 14 players on at once on the zombie. and at the same time 4 people where on the deathrun... i can't understand how 256ram turns everyones pings into 400

You don't have enough resources to process client information. Thus the server processes them one at a time which increases ping. Think of it as a McDonalds. If you have one line cook (RAM), it'll take a long time to get the food out to the customers (Ping).

RAM could not be always the cause for LAG/PING spikes. Try scanning your PC's for Spyware or something like that.

However You should get atleast a RAM of 1 GB. I have 512

i said it's my host

i have 2gb ram on my comp. but with my host it's 256mb
