I keep getting this when I try to open AMXX Studio.

I recognize this error from other applications.
This occurs because the file opening control remembers the folder where a file was opened from.
If that folder suddently isn't accessible anymore, it trows out errors.

In most cases (like shared folders not being accessible anymore) you can get out of it, but CD's are always a problem.

And sorry if I forgot to mention, but I have AMXX Studio installed on an external drive and the message keeps coming up no matter which choice I select.

Do you have any devices that have removable media such as a memory card reader? If you do then try unplugging the device to see if it helps or not.

I recognize this error message from other delphi based programs that iterate through drives getting their stats and such.

This is really not a bug. If you use an external HDD or a USB pen drive, make sure it's connected to your PC when you start studio.
