How do I connect a domain to a server?

Depends on your domain's host. They should have a configuration in their control panel to have a subdomain point to an IP address. There are a couple threads in this forum (search "domain") that discuss this briefly but mostly it depends on the host of your domain and how they do it.

You need an A record to the server IP. If you hosting does have some control panel where u can edit the records you can use Cloudflare as DNS. (Just turn off the proxy on you server domain.)
