If I were to create a company that sold domain names, domain transfers, web hosting, email accounts, etc... cheaper than those like GoDaddy.com, and with the same reliability, the same ease-of-use, the same control panel, and the same setup times... Would you guys use it? Its something Ive been wanting to do for a while, but never had the time to... and now I do. Like I said, it would be the same thing as something like GoDaddy.com, but cheaper.... By cheaper I mean $7.99 .COM domain name registrations, $2.79/mo 3-year hosting plans... Things like that... Semi-significant drops in price (versus GoDaddy's $9.99 .COM domains, and $3.19/mo 3-year hosting). Of course, you wouldnt get to look at Danica Patrick when you logged on to the site, but for lower cost hosting... it may be worth the sacrifice.

So, my simple question is... would you guys use my hosting over theirs?

EDIT:

Site is now up: http://www.flashhosting.org

If the service isn't shitty either, then maybe.

That wouldn't be too smart.... >_>

And in order to start a domain name registration service, you need ICANN accredation. That runs at about a few thousand dollars.

I signed up through GoDaddy, but Im not a reseller under that company.

Anyway... The site is up... Check it out! If you would be planning on registering a domain name, wait till tomorrow, all domain names are going on sale for the month of January.

http://www.flashhosting.org

My incentives for people to come to me are simple.... price. I charge the same or less than even the guys like GoDaddy, and offer the same service and reliability.

Just as a comparison...
GoDaddy.com:
.com
$9.99/yr
.org
SALE! $6.99
.net
$9.99/yr
.info
$2.99/yr

FlashHosting.org:
.com
SALE!
$7.49/yr
.org
SALE! $8.99/yr
.net
$9.59/yr
.info
SALE! $1.99/yr

( With mine... some prices take effect on 1/1/2008 )

And our hosting is about the same.
