I tested the hibernation state, here it is not the reason. The crash happens independently on whether the server is in hibernation state or not.

That's a matter of opinion. Mine is that connection loss with remote database is a normal, expected situation and making watchdog restart the server whenever it happens is redundant.
Would be nice to see the crash reason in the logs, now it is extremely difficult to identify this kind of crashes.

The default timeout is 30 seconds, which is is way higher than the watchdog limit if you have it enabled. Have you tried configuring a lower timeout?
