Shamusi Music Plugin - SourceMod Editon

Hallo,

this is just an other music plugin for all servers
which supports the motd file.

Basicly this plugin is a simple web surfing plugin
which opens the steam browser by typing "!music" in chat.

Then it redirects the users to the website http://shamusi.com/

Here your customers have the opportunity to listen to
thousands of free online radios while they playing.

With "!stopmusic" they can turn the player off.

It's pretty nice - still when you not play ;)

Installation:
1) Download the plugin by using the link "Get Plugin" at the bottom.
2) Upload the file to your server into the directory: addons/sourcemod/plugins/
3) Finally restart the map or the server.

TF2 Support? Can it be made to play mp3s?

basicly this plugin was written to use it with the given
radio directory, so i'll don't modify it for using mp3s.

but you can do it easily by your own, just change the urls
to a website you own which contains a list of mp3s you wanna play.

also google for embedding the windows media player and the m3u playlist format
or just have a look into the sources of http://shamusi.com/onlineradio/

however, please keep in mind that you can get in conflict with the law
when you provide/share copyright protected media files on websites.

i don't know what mods for TF2 are available, isn't it sourcemod too?

Theres nothing too CSS specific here so I would think it would work with TF2 and all source games. Who wants to try it on TF2 etc? I know scrolling ingame is very hard to do and my result in problems and time getting to a station...

yes it will be possible and many other things too, we can hopefully release
a new version in about 5-7 days, it tooks a while because
we have to change a few things server side.

The scroll bar on the website in game is going to most likely be very hard to use. I have had bad exerpiences with it. I would make a menu, make sections and make each section go to a list of stations that corresponds.

yes we know this problem, but it belongs to the steam browser itself,
it is a pretty bad piece of software also we don't have any javascript
support which makes it hard to have a dynamic navigation.

however, we'll release a new version within the next week
with a much better ingame support
