I can't seem to compile the .sma files at http://www.amxmodx.org/webcompiler.cgi

The Web Compiler uses Amx 1.8.2. You'll need to download Amx 1.8.3 and compile locally

Thanks for the information, but I can only see an installer for version 1.8.2, how to install 1.8.3 ?
