theres these cvars which you also have to tweak to get tanks and witches to spawn on maps. flow is progress through the map, on small maps, you need less flow to spawn something. on larger maps, a small flow could result in multiple tanks and witches. best result is to tweak these on a per-map basis.

Well I wasn't having an issue until recently. It's odd and on the stock maps as well levels 2&4 never have a witch anymore it's usually on 3.



I'll mess with it thanks for the advice.

Also are you the Mr.Zero that made the HUD for L4D2 look like the Sexy L4D1 HUD?

Does this work? AFAIK on map 1 the director only allows a tank or a witch to spawn, not both.

as i said in the other post where you asked this...
look at the top of this page and you will see some other cvars you need to tweak for those small maps.

The "problem" is the way bosses are control now.

The director cvars are only for backwards compatible. Nowadays the map has full control, or rather the scripts have.

If you want to dive further into this, the wiki has a excellence guide and information about the new Vscripts that maps now can use to control various server settings.

In other words, the cvars are now no longer "actively" used by L4D2.
If you want to change it you would have to use Left 4 Downtown 2 to change them as the maps try to override certain settings.

I have already made an example script of this, for another guy that had common limit problems (local map kept taking control), and you should be able to modify it so you get bosses on every level.

This is also how Confogl and SRSmod enables boss spawning on every map.
You can see Confogls way to do it here (will probably make more sense if you read the example script above).

A port for that feature from confogl to L4D1 should be awesome. I'd love to see tank and witches on every single map (even 1 and 5).
